I have always liked the 5.5" coil for the Barons, like JB says, great in trash and remarkable depth.
Today I went for a drive looking for new farm field sites but the crops were still on so I stopped by an old one room school site that I have hunted alot.
Its on pasture so its one of my site I can hunt during the summer...problem is I have hunted it to the point that it doesnt produce much if anything.
Heres a pic of the barn foundation, ya gotta know that I have hunted around this many times
Was using my modded base Baron with the 5.5 coil and was surprised how many non ferrous targets were coming out of the ground.
This included 22 shells and lead and several tiny brass screws....I was really surprised that less than 10 feet from the foundation out popped a '43 V war nickel.
Its a very trashy area but I cant believe I missed this coin before
That was the only coin for an hour worth of hunting...not complaining, didnt think I would find any
