Base Baron with Prohunter module at the ocean beaches?

Wondering if anyone has used theres at the ocean and how did it work? Another ? when using a base Baron with Prohunter module and a DeepHunter module with Nicads, do you have to have Nicads also in the base Baron to hookup the charger or can you use regular AAs in just the base Baron?
