Good to hear your home wasn't effected except for the few down limbs, And Two or more inches of rain within 15 minutes is allot of water, Some drainage areas must have been flooded due to the massave amounts of water.
Here in California we fear fog the most, at times visabitily is so bad we can't even see the front of the hood and rely with the side windows rolled down following the white strips.
And Congrats on the silver dime, At least you managed to get out before the storm hit and found a couple of good keepers.
