Looks like both the forum and my detecting trips have come to a standstill. We've had so much rain the last couple of weeks there wasn't many chances to get in any detecting, but managed a couple of clad hunts with Denny and about a 30 minute hunt today. Did ok on clad coins when hunting with Denny, only two dimes and a zinc penny in clad today but got a halfway decent goodie. A 1914 5 centavos I thought was a dime. Same size as a dime, maybe not quite as thick, and looks to have a fairly high silver content. Found in the northeast corner of the horse show arena place, same area I got the WWI calvary spur and the 1941 Nazi coin I posted awhile back and maybe 50 feet from where I got the Hatley Policeman's badge, in the photo at right, about 10 years ago. Too wet to hunt there. Still water standing in low places and the ground is basically grass on top of mud, which reminds me to get ready for the azz chewing I'll get when my wife sees the mud and grass stains on the left knee of the jeans I had on.
