It doesn't get any better than that JB, Going back to a site once lived by a family member in your case your wifes home she was rasied in.
I tried that about 8-10 years ago, Went to the house I was rasied in the same home my Grandfather built in the fifties, Didn't find any coins from that era or of my time while living there but it was a treat just to claw through the dirt wth my hands.
Great post and knowing that your wife has a piece of history (1957 wheat) from her past brings joy to us as well.
