The problem is the capacity of the AAA cells is a lot less than AA cells. So the on time is a lot less for the Deep Hunter Module.
Try loading the standard cell holder with AA cells that are the highest capacity you can find. Perhaps some high cap. NmAh, or NmZink cells. Tie the Deep Hunter into the Detectors battery pack, running one cell pack for both circuits.
You sill will have a faster decline than 2 different cell packs, but it works.
Best bet is to set it up for out bound cell pack mounted on your belt.
