I had a 1266 about 11 years ago and it had the stock 8" spyder coil, I thought it had a great sweep speed, ultra slow motion, with a great trigger switch to change modes with. This is one detector that I should have kept. I set up the 1266 dual disc.s about the same way as you did, first disc. nickel accept and second disc zinc accept, found alot of neat coins & rings with it. But,,, it is not a trashy site detector, and if set right it does chatter quite a bit, I traded it off for a Tiger Shark in 2001 and never looked back.
