I never saw American Digger, but I watched maybe 15 minutes of the Nat Geo "Digger" show and it was basically two idiots acting like three year olds. One thing those shows have done is stir up a hornets nest. Not only are archaeologists up in arms about them, so are 95 percent or more of us who post on the forums. Garrett was up to their eyeballs in the Nat Geo show. KG and Ringy, the guys in the show, are dealers who sell only Garrett detectors and Garrett was pushing the show. They had a .PDF file about it on the Garrett website and John-Edmonton posted links to it on darn near every forum on the internet. After the show aired and the complaints started, Garrett deleted the .PDF file and the posts John-Edmonton made on the forums were removed. One petition against the show had over 15,000 sign it in two days. Someone at Garrett should have know better than to support the show, which they did initially, but it didn't take them long to change their mind once the complaints started. The next night after the show aired anyone who tried to access the .PDF file on Garrett's website got the message in the photo below.
