I exchanged several emails with Alan Hughes, and talked to him once or twice on the phone, back in the late 1990's. I bought a Newforce CS-5ZX, same as the CS-8SST except it had letters instead of coin denominations for the meter, not long after they were released in 1997 and had a few questions. I wanted a small coil for it and after asking a few times with negative results he told me to contact Ron Shearer at Discovery Electronics and said not contact him again. Ron put a Newforce connector on a 5.5 inch Baron coil and sent it to me, Merc changed it back to a plug-in connector a few months ago. I also got him to change the female connector on the 5ZX case so I can use Baron coils on it.
