I have no doubt it'll be a good detector, all Tesoro detectors are, and at about $550 for it, three coils and lower rods it's a bargain. But a lot of folks probably won't buy it because, according to Robert Martensen, it will only be sold with the three coils and lower rod package. If it will detect a quarter 10 inches deep, as Martensen said it would in some ground conditions, that's a couple of inches deeper than my Golden µMax with the Shadow X2 7 inch coil can do, but I wouldn't trade the Golden for one.
