JB,
I know you have a Classic III. I recently built a clone of a Whites IDX detector which is based on the Classic series. I didn't realize until after I began testing that it does not seem to have a non-motion pinpoint mode. When I switch to pinpoint, it seems to just be an all-metal motion based mode. Does your Classic III act the same way?
