...Very Rare detector ...I do not think that many were made....I would call this detector a Pre-1650...very similar to the 1650 and even the Tesoro Bandido...I made the Bandido my main detector a while back and did not think that I could find anything that would compare to it....this Gold Mountain Technologies Gold Scorpion may be a close copy...both have a high frequency of operation...very fast recovery and a Non Motion All Metal Mode with a Ground Balance Knob....I have not taken the GMT Gold Scorpion out into the field yet but from bench testing in the house....it seems to be very similar in performance....also like the Bandido it is very light weight ......GMT..aka Gold Mountain got sued and lost mainly caused they copied very closely to the Tesoro line and maybe even to the Garrett line (the Garrett gold Stinger comes to mine which operates at 15 KHZ..)I really like the Bandido so would like to hear from anyone that uses the 1650 to hear what kind of performance that they get....Thanks Joe
