I did get a 1815 US large cent on my first swing! Then nothing for two hours till I got a very poor iffy signal that was a deeper worn slick large copper coin. Very slighty smaller tan the US cent. The Prohunter was acting way too noisey, so I switched to the Baron E-class with 5.5 coil sensitivity at full, and it ran so quiet that I could find non ferrous much better. That's because it only has one tone, so now I was not getting split hi-low tones that were sounding like disced iron or falsing.
No more coins but got a nice early scalloped brass cast buckle that matches the scallops on the big musket sling bucle that I found there before. Also got one cast pewter flat button and one half of a gilt backmarked cufflink. And a few other brass bits like half of a brass ornate shoe buckle frame hit by plows.
Just wanted to say how much I like the E-class that Rich built at Discovery Electronics It works so nice on a site where you want to dig every non ferrous with a single clear tone...Thanks Rich!
I miss JB a lot.
