So I just resealed my older 8" coil with acrylic caulk in case it needs to be taken apart after the test hunt.
I need to dry out the 10" for a full day. I did get it apart tonight, and it was a bit wet, but I could not see a broken wire or broken Styrofoam. I may need to dig into the resin sealer if it still cuts out like today. I will dry it first, then test it, before cutting resin
I would like to use the ProHunter with it, so I can see if that detector is OK with the different coil.
During the winter I will clean the Menu and Enter switches on the E-Class Cointrax. I have no idea if the E uses the chip like a normal Cointrax, but I do know the switches are dirty.
I had not used my PH for two months until today, and now I really think the PH gives a more noticeable initial hit on small targets. Might be my imagination though.
No clue which is deeper, and depth is not an issue on fields that get plowed. Sooner or later, deeper targets get moved up to the surface.
