My oldest 8" is still broken, have not pulled it apart yet.
I had the 10" on the ProHunter Sunday. It used to be very unstable. It ran so quiet on a sports field, so I decided to try the best cornfield again. The field was recently plowed and harrowed(a day or two ago), but looking at the tractor tracks, I did not think it was planted with corn yet...
I was only 2 minutes into the hunt, and got a completely slick large copper coin. Right in the same hot spot that always has good finds.
But a few minutes later, I saw some spilled red tinted corn seeds, so I knew it was just planted, so I had to leave quickly. I will be back after fall harvest.
I had found a rough 1821 large cent there a couple weeks ago, before they replowed and reharrowed. I can't believe how many coins were lost there.
