It may be different for others, but antisocial tendencies for me have always been associated with depression. Sure, sometimes we all don't feel like talking to anyone, or everyone around us seems unappealing, so we stay away. But, if a person isolates themselves and doesn't feel like reaching out to anyone, I'd say that's a sign of depression, if it's accompanied by other feelings like apathy, etc. Unfortunately, no easy solution there. It's something I've been struggling with myself for years.

I had a really terrible altercation with a scooter rider today. I shouldn't have confronted him, but I caught up at the next light and called him on it. His response was so insensitive, uneducated, and just plain un-neighborly. After an experience like that, I find it not at all surprising when people don't want to be social. Maybe it's not just about personal depression. Maybe we've just absorbed too much crap from people. I mean this board is a running example of it too. People are being so un-neighborly on this board that it's spawning more jerks who act like jerks just because they already see a toilet, so why not piss in it. I'm starting to go off on a tangent, but I think my post is still relevant to the conversation in emotion at least. (and obviously, I'm still angry about that scooter crack-head)

I feel like that too and have for a while now. As b said, sometimes I chaulk it up to I'm just being lazy too. But for the most part? I am tired of the drama, the stress and hell even the sex. Is it wrong to want to be left alone or not care if we are? Is it depression? is it abnormal? I dunno..
