The Miami Herald article is now on the front page of herald.com. It is, in my opinion, extremely well done. I have no connection to Flight 401, other than the fact that I am aware of the incident. My thoughts and prayers go out the victims families and the survivors. The Herald links directly to this website, and I would hope that everyone who is directed here take the opportunity to join together to form a single voice in communicating with Miami-Dade county officials into erecting a proper memorial for the victims of this tragic event. I sent the following to the reporter who wrote the article:
"You have succeeded in writing the most emotional, factually accurate, and honorable articles I have ever read in the Miami Herald. You, and all your co-workers who assisted you in this project are to be commended.
As a long time Miami resident, it is disappointing that there is no memorial for the victims of this tragic event.
As a follow-up, I would hope that the Herald assist the survivors and family members of the victims by working with the Miami-Dade county in erecting a proper memorial. Please keep my email on file, as it would be my honor to assist in any other way possible in order to have such a memorial erected."
