My father was a mechanic for Eastern at the time and knew Mr Donadeo. I may have even met him once when my dad took me and my friends to the Miami Maintenance area.
I was only 11 years old when the crash occurred but it still remains in my memory. I was staying up late watching TV when they made an announcement that an Eastern 747 had crashed in the Everglades. I woke my dad up and asked him if Eastern had any 747s because one had just crashed. He said no and said it must have been a 1011. Don't remember much after that but it is still in my memory.
