Re: The 37th anniversary
I watched the Today show this morning and was so intrigued by the report on Flight 401 that once I arrived at work, began googling anything and everything about Eastern and happened upon this site. Part of my intrigue is due to the fact that I am a former Eastern Airlines Flight Attendant. I started flying in March 1977 and flew until January 1987, resigning after my 3rd child was born. I wanted to be a stay at home Mom for awhile. However, I often reflect on my years as an Eastern Airlines Flight Attendant and the many wonderful people that I met during my tenure. Perhaps I may have even flown with you at some point as an "E". I was first based out of New York and then DC. I also often feel saddened by Eastern's desmise. It should not have happened, nor should it have been allowed to happen! However, that's another story! I would love to see a permanent memorial of 401 for both the victims and survivors. I will certainly check back from time to time to see how things are progressing and will also make a donation. GOD BLESS YOU on this 37th anniversary of such a life-changing event. Sincerely, Donna Dalton Edwards Eastern Flight Attendant 1977-1987
