Maybe a little more direct drive on your part would be good for us. "Here are the things happening nearby..."
I'm all for leadership, there's stuff I want to do with the information given here. I would defer to all players when it comes to combat situations for sure, and round table everything else. If I'd been there for the humanoid situation, I would have said go for it. We haven't encountered anything other than the owlbear, and I'm a bit tired of picking off goblins here and there. I also know I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to combat, hence the deferral.
I'm going to try to have Rowan be a bit more like Drust when it comes to bailing into battle. Work on flanking for bonus points.
I know a little more than the rest about the drug trade and its right up Rowan's alley to try again. Last time I felt we just hit a dead end and that was it. Nothing more to learn. That was frustrating. Now with backend character development I know more. Find a drug dealer to shake down, and mess with those guys at the brothel again.
Maybe we can go back to Lathan and Mayra(?) see what's up with her and also see what kind of stuff he has for the party to do?
Anyway. I do feel your rant was a bit heavy handed, but again appreciate the push on the options we have been given.
