ENGINE
Currently has high nickel content Nascar block purchased new from Holman & Moody. Has all the original internals. Also have the block that was in it when I purchased the car in 1973. Engine ran fine when it was parked in 1977 but due to the rarity & expense of the original B429 components I feel the engine should be thoroughly checked & gone through before attempting to start it.
Car currently has a set of custom headers on it.
Car does not have the smog system or Original Air Cleaner
Power steering is not on the car but is included.
TRANSMISSION
** original 2.32 first gear close ratio top loader trans. Currently has a Jack Roush blow proof bell on but also have the stock bell housing as well.
REAR
Correct 3.91 Trac Loc rear in N case. 31 spline axles Just completely rebuilt & detailed
PERFORMANCE
Although this car is basically stock, it is/was much faster than most Boss 429’s and did run 11.31 second quarter miles at approx. 120mph. It has been written up in Super Stock & Drag Illustrated magazine which attest to this performance. I have a copy of the magazine with this car in it. There is plenty of SE PA race history on this car.
I have several extra and rare Boss parts that I will throw in if I get a fair value for the Boss 9. These parts are worth $1,000‘s.
O ring kits, gaskets, pistons, rods, lifters, valve train pieces, headers, flywheels, clutches, pulleys, rear axles etc.
This SURVIVOR and RARE BOSS 429 is one of the most sought after Classic Cars today. This BOSS 9 is being offering at 250K with some neg possible.
Pictures and Marti available upon request and INSPECTION are welcomed and expected. Car is near Philadelphia PA.
