Yes I still have the car. I want 4,500.00 for everthing I have...and I have a lot. I have three people interested and one came to see the car yesterday and wanted to think it over, but money talks. I am located in Colchester, CT. Here is a descrip of what I have:1966 Mercury Cyclone GT. I purchased this car 3 years ago and began to restore it. I have lost my job and need to liquidate my toys to help pay the bills. My loss is your gain. I drove this car for a month of so before I took her apart and man, did she haul ASS! The car has the 390 GT 4bbl 335 hp engine with the original chrome valve covers. The 4 speed toploader was rebuilt and repainted and looks like new. Currently, this car is disassembled and the shell is on a dolly in my garage. I have replaced the left front floor, I have the right front pans as well. The right rear quarter had been replaced before I bought the car and is in good shape. The left rear quarter was full of bondo. I stripped it and found it to be all metal. It had been dented and instead of taking the time to hammer and pull the dents, someone just filled it in with bondo. The lower corner of the left rear quater has a dime side spot of through rust. The left rear wheel well will need some attention. The inner and outter rockers are solid and have no rust. The right front tourque box will need to be repaired, but not replaced, and that is why I have not installed those pans. The drivers door is in good shape with a dime sized hole in the lower rear. The passenger door appears good and solid, however, I have not stripped it down. The front fenders appear nice and solid as well, but again, I have not stripped them. There are no other rust issues. The interior was in good shape when removed. It is the parchment color bucket seats. All glass in car is good and original, with the exception of the windshield. All chrome mouldings are in good shape. The front and rear bumpers have some pitting. I have amassed quite a bit of used NOS and OEM parts for this car over the years. Some include: All new NOS gauges and speedo, all new front suspension and steering parts, NOS airfoil antenna, beautiful original fiberglass hood with scoops, very nice original dash pad, reconditioned original dash tach, NOS wiper arms, NOS wiper switch, new rear air shocks, correct front grille, NOS Grill bar, nice front hood lip moulding, mercury man wiper fluid container and also rotonda bottle and holder, new front shocks, beautiful used steering wheel, center console, NOS headlight housings, NEW front windshield, all NEW complete set of body gaskets, new headliner, NOS Seat Belt Alarm and much more. I have also retored (sand blasted and primed and repainted/rebuilt) the following: front and rear drums and brake parts, strut bars, clutch Z bar, steering box, front springs, wheel cylinders, clutch parts, brake and clutch pedals, E.R. assembly, etc. Also to go with this car is a matching 429 4bbl and C-6 tranny out of a 1969 Ford Thunderbird. They have about 69,000 miles on them. I'm not going to get on the soapbox and proclaim this car to be anything other than what it is, a project car. There are no hidden problems and I am not trying to mislead anyone. I have tried to describe this car to the best of my ability. I want the buyer to know what they are getting into. This car will need to be flatbedded or trailered out of here. I can help with that and can have loader here to assit you. All together, I estimate that I have about $14,000.00 invested as she sits. I know that I can get more money if I was to part out the car, but its all there and complete and I would like to see someone else finish her up and get her on the road.
