Posted by Michael Hoskin Johnny Blaze was a stunt motorcyclist who made a deal with Mephisto to try and save his stepfather's life, to no avail. Mephisto couldn't claim Blaze's soul, so he bonded him to Zarathos. Daniel Ketch was a teenager who found a motorcycle that would transform him into the Ghost Rider "when innocent blood is shed." He and Blaze were eventually revealed to be brothers who were part of a long line of spirits of vengeance. MH
