Posted by brett on March 21, 2005, 11:46 pm THE QUESTION: A. John Blaze Blaze's original series had a definate conclusion, with him being seperated from the Zarathos demon. I kind of think they went as far as they could with the Dan Ketch character and the whole "spirit of vengeance" deal in the 1990s. The difference is that the character's story never had a definative "ending". In the Marvel Universe, Dan Ketch is still the most recent Ghost Rider, unless you want to count that horrible "Hammer Lane" garbage. I think introducing a new Ghost Rider character would be a decent idea. It would carry less baggage and probably be more easily-accessible for new readers. Blaze and Ketch could still show up later, much like Howard Mackie brought Blaze back in the early 90s. I doubt something like this would happen though, seeing as how the upcoming movie is going to center around the Blaze version. What do you guys think?

this sort of stems from the thread below about Garth Ennis and Clayton Crain doing a new Ghost Rider series this fall.
What character would you most like to see in the new Ghost Rider series?
B. Dan Ketch
C. a totally new character
Speaking personally, I think both Blaze and Ketch's stories have been fully told as Ghost Rider.
