Look for old 80s Romance Novel

It was a Silhouette Tender Romance, and I thought its title was Endless Love, but that might be wrong since I can't seem to locate it. I read it in the early 90s but I think it may have been published a few years before. The heroine was a 23-year old novelist, Marina Turner, who lived in Big Sur. She falls in love with a famous Hollywood director named Stephen. He buys the movie rights to her book, and she ends up writing the screenplay. It had a purple cover.
