Hello,
I'm looking for a mills & boon book that is old, probably in late 70s to early 80s. I forgot the name of the book and the author.
The heroine name in the book is Charlotte and she was 18yrs old, and she found out her grandfather or father(?) had died with debts owing. The solicitor was telling her her debts will be paid off, but she must marry this man for 1 year, have his child, and then leave.
The man is 39 years old and greek(I think). They met and of course she's at first uncomfortable with the situation. But she eventually got pregnant, and towards the end of the book she felt sad to give up her baby. However, the man confessed that he was always in love with her since he saw her as a little girl with her father (?), and he waited until she turned 18 for her to become his wife.
I would love to find and read this book again, its very touching.
