Bad Baby Ben

I remember reading a children's book as a child, (late 70's) about a bad baby. I believe his name was Ben. He got mad at his mother and ran away. I remember the words "and the wolf licked his face" - I think they appeared somewhere in the book. His mother missed him and went off to look for him. Does anyone remember this children's book? I would love to find it again.
