I want to first say that the Arab-pony cross is a fantastic all-around mount for a small adult. I had a welsh/TB cross and a Welsh/Arab cross, (probably Welsh Cob). He was a little on the stocky side, with Arab head and LONg Arab stride, Arab personality. As for feeding him, he was a very easy keeper, required NO grain when on pasture, or he would blow up like a baloon. Even the farrier warned me to be careful of his weight because of risk of founder. I also had to stable him at nite even during the summer to keep him off the grass. In stall he got about a cup of feed(enough to keep him happy) and hay. As your pony matures, you may want to keep an eye on her.
