I have bred pony mares to my purebred arabian stallion he is light of bone and the mare delivered the foal really easily. At covering time you have to make sure that the stallion doesnt go too far in, to prevent this a tyre is placed between mare and stallion to prevent damage to vagina or cervix.My stallion is
very gentle with the ponies.
