Posted by Galen McBride on 11/13/2003, 4:25 pm His dam is the daughter of one of the Arabian breed's most phenomenal stallions, the imported straight Russian *Muscat (Swedish, Canadian and US National Champion). "Ruri's" sire is IAS Alydar, a *Bask-bred Arabian racehorse with a strong Crabbet line thru Meta Islam. Ruri is an outstanding Sport Horse or pony jumper prospect. At 9 months of age, he free-jumped 3'9" out of his paddock -- I had to raise the paddock fence to over 4 feet to keep him in! He is available for sale or I will consider trading him for two purebred Welsh or Welara mares/fillies that fit into my Welara breeding program. We'd keep Ruri, but ours is a BLACK color-breeding program and we have six other black and black-factored stallions on the farm already. RE Ruaidhri (Celtic for Red King) is a rising 3 year old, liver chestnut purebred Arabian colt who will probably get to be around 14.2.
