Posted by John Albers The skipper, CDR Sidney Overall would have never permitted nose art, nor names. I left the squadron Jan 65 and never saw any names. It's also possible, the name came from the bone-yard and had been painted over and I never saw it. There was a lot of graffiti, messages, and names on the inside of the plane at the radio, navigator and radar stations, which we were commanded to scrub off. It came to us very dirty. As I recall, it was Hurricane Cleo, which destroyed the CO's Connie. I also recall, he was the pilot at the time of the incident. Yet, I have seen other names listed as the pilot. Unless the real pilot stands-up and says so, I'm inclined to go with my memories.
