I really enjoy the newsletters. In 1949, my dad was a LT (j.g.) and Aviation Observer-Aerology at Miami attached to VPM-3 and then VPHL-3 working with Cdr. Harding when the movie, Slattery's Hurricane, was shot. My dad had funny things to say about actor Widmark as well. I was wondering if the "Captains Yeoman" would remember my dad. Jack Ingram, retired as a LCDR in 1963 and passed away in 1980, but his stories about before WWII, during WWII and his 3 years in Maimi were priceless. I have a lot of historical photos, writings, a chronology with a Miami radio personality that flew along into a hurricane back in the 40's, articles that my mom kept and so on. I think it would best served to send along some of it to your great group. I also have a book that my dad wrote on "Typhoons of the Western Pacific" with original maps tracking all the typhoons from October - December 1945 drawn by my dad at Nimitz request. He gave the original to Nimitz. My copy is very old. By the way, my mom and sisters, Bev and Karen were sitting in the bleachers in one scene of that movie. Best, Jim
