Well this one isn't an old one, exactly.... We're still flying it. I litterally just came back from Guam on a Typhoon chasing trip and my crew is still out there until 1 Oct 08. We are flying an A/B P-3 now listed as an NP-3D built in 1968 and stationed here in Patuxent River MD. It's just a temporary installation but we fly weather missions about once(5-20 flights) every couple of years. Our Buno is 154587 and it's equiped with a LiDAR, 4 channel ELDORA Radar a Dropsonde chute and some g'whiz communications stuff. I have some pics if anybody'd like to see'm.
