Dear Johnny,
I served in VW-4 from 1960 till 1962 as a flight meteorologist. I entered the Navy in March 1955 and the Bluejackets' Manual I bought (or received) has Copyright dates of 1938, 1939, 1940, 1943, 1944, 1946 and 1950 (the latter date when mine was apparently published). It is not what you asked for, but if mine would be of use, I can copy pages or even loan it to you. I would not like to lose it though.
I served 32+ years in the Navy -- retired as a captain.
