Hi, Bill. I was a fourth grade teacher @ Roosey. And was there when JFK was killed. Now retired and starting a light sport flying club in Mid-Michigan and SW Florida. Visit: www.navalairestates.com for for information. After I finished my 'kiddie' cruise ('52 - '55) I was in the Air Force Av-Cat program; but, washed out of pilot training ('57) Later, I finished college and went into teacher. But, my wife became ill and so I needed a part-time job. I went into the Naval Air Reserves as an enlisted aircrewman for 16 years. Best part time job a teacher could have. I remember one Turkey Day week-end. We flew from Selfridge (VR-52) To Panama and had an interesting week-end there. Another time, we spent our two weeks at Rota Spain, and flew around the Med.
Now I'm trying to start a light sport flying club in Mid-Michigan and later in SW Florida. If you have the time, let me know how things are going and where your at. Bob McDonagh 146745
