None of the articles on this subject mention how much of our taxpayer money is being spent on the massive PR fraud perpetrated by these same state run institutions. Just go to our local institutions' website, (link included below)to see this campaign in action. I would remind the reader that it is ALWAYS Republican controlled legislatures that seek to close these massive institutions and transfer money and supports to community based private sector residential providers. There are more state employees than people with disabilities being served at our local IMR. Does anyone doubt that the Democrats are enslaved to the big union bosses and the cushy state jobs these institutions represent? We need a much stronger committment to high quality community based alternatives from both political parties. Contact your representatives and don't forget to vote.
