The New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS) is working with the family advocacy group, the Family Alliance To Stop Abuse & Neglect, State and Federal Legislators, the Department of Health and Senior Services and the Department of Children and Families, to commemorate the third anniversary of Danielle’s Law. You are cordially invited to attend this event to heighten public awareness and highlight New Jersey’s "partnerships" regarding Danielle’s Law.
Wednesday, October 11, 2006
2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.
First Floor Conference Room
Department of Human Services, 222 South Warren Street, Trenton
Danielle’s Law requires that direct care staff members working with people with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injury to call 911 in the event of a life-threatening emergency. State Legislators will address the importance of Danielle’s Law and DHS will provide an update to the press and participants regarding the numbers of calls made to 911, or the failure to call 911, on behalf of people with developmental disabilities.
"By working together, we can accomplish more".
