Doctors stunt 6-year-old's growth to keep her small

Doctors have purposefully given a 6-year-old girl massive doses of estrogen, and a hysterectomy, to stunt her growth. Her parents asked for the treatments so they could take better care of her at home. Have the parents and the doctors gone too far? Or is being smaller better than being in a nursing home or other institution? Your opinion matters. Tell us what you think.
