If athlete's with intellectual disabilities are going to be allowed to participate in the Para-Olympic games, then individuals with physical disabilities only should also be allowed the opportunity to participate in Special Olympics. Many children have been excluded from participating in this event because they do not have intellectual disabilities in addition to their physical disabilities. And their physical disabilities are often so severe that they aren't able to participate in the Para-Olympic program. Where do these children or young people fit in? If there is not a place for them, can we create one? Every child should be given the opportunity to succeed.
