Should Asperger syndrome be used as part of murder defense?

John Odgren, a 16-year-old sophomore at a Massachusetts high school, has been charged with first-degree murder for alledgedly stabbing to death fellow student. His attorney says he will likely use the fact that Odgren has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome as part of his legal defense. What do you think? Should a disability, such as Asperger syndrome, be used as part of a legal defense?
