Posted by Bob Alba I have a problem with using intellectual disability because to me it sounds the same as calling someone stupid. And I don't think of people with mental disabilities as stupid, especially since some people that I know with this disAbility can be a lot smarter than "normal" people in different areas and can often surprise someone if they are given the chance or enough time. What do others think?

I want to see what people prefer to use between these two bi-nomial sets of words: Mental disAbility or Intellectual disAbility. I thought about this from reading, "President Bush Changes PCMR To PCPID"

where the language of the ADA was changed such that mental retardation was replaced with Intellectual Disability.
