So, let me see if I have this right...according to the Kennedy family statement, "Rosemary was a lifelong jewel to every member of our family. She was always a loving presence in our lives...." Hmmm, how could that be true if she was shuttered away in an institution for over 56 years? Did the Kennedy clan bring her home once a year for Christmas? And how about this whopper... "From her earliest years, her mental retardation was a continuing inspiration to each of us." Are they talking about before or after the lobotomy? No doubt Rosemary's life truly was.... "a powerful source of our family's commitment to do all we can to help all persons with disabilities live full and productive lives" Call me cynical, but I have a feeling ol' Eunice's dedication to advocacy, (bless her heart), and the executive actions of brother Jack, were driven by a need to assuage the collective Kennedy family guilt.
