I will be speaking at the 2005 Internatiional Conference on Accessible Travel in Taiwan next month. I would be interested to hear about what is happening in your area on the practice that is being called "Inclusive Destination Development" -- using concepts like Universal Design and Visitability to make a place a destination-of-choice for people with disabilities. The difference is that a regional planning approach or a coalition of disability actvists, businesses and government that work, not necessarily motivated by a desire to comply with the ADA but from the self-interest of increased profits.
