Posted by Steven M. Busch You said that, "To be a 'civilized" society we must decide the 'due process' for our decisions that is NOT based on pre-determined outcomes." I say the law of the land must be held to a higher standard. I say there ARE absolutes, pre-determined standards (not outcomes) that were violated in the Terri Schiavo case. Your question is "Will you or will you Not respect the medical examiners report (autopsy) when it arrives?" Of course I will respect it. I respect medical opinions for what they are, regardless of your numerous assumptions and inferences to the contrary. So far, the only medical opinion which I cited that I absolutely do not respect (or accept), is the label of PVS which I already referenced in another thread. The medical examiner's report could be considered just a footnote in all of this, as whatever is stated in it will most likely not get to the heart of the issue. It will probably conclude that there were many things wrong with Terri, and that there were several contributing factors to the cause of death, which was predicted (by medical experts) to be from kidney or other internal organ failure as a result of dehydration and/or starvation. I don't expect any surprises or revelations. Please do not misquote me or go off on a literary rampage based on your misinterpretation of what I write. For example, I said I have been "in the 'business' for over 25 years and I do have some experience with investigative reports of this type." You said I claimed, "25 years experience with investigative reports" and then demanded an explanation as to why that gives me more credibility regarding a bone scan than a radiologist. In no way did I challenge the radiologist's credentials, nor did I challenge the accuracy of his report, nor did I imply in any way a superiority of knowledge or understanding or interpretive ability above that of the radiologist. I merely stated that "A DCFS investigator, (and/or a judge) looking at such a record, would have to conclude that the evidence of abuse was inconclusive." And then I commented, "That don't mean it didn't happen." I stand by those statements. I could cite numerous other examples of your habit of setting up a straw man and then knocking him down. Maybe that works for you, however you must break this habit if we are going to continue this discussion in a "civilized" manner. Paul, Instead of picking eachother apart regarding the myraid of details of the Terri Schiavo case, how about we focus on the bigger picture which Terri's life and death represents? Here I am speaking of course about euthanasia, the right to die, mercy killing, or whatever you wish to call it. Is the right to make decisions for ourselves (in regards to our own bodies) absolute?

Do you have the link to the 45 page DCFS report or not? I will not jump through any more of your hoops to obtain it, sooner or later I will find it on my own if it is indeed posted someplace on the internet.
