Or do you think people considered to have mental retardation should be given a lesser sentence? What do you think about statements from many defense attorneys -- and others supporting these laws -- that adults labeled as having mental retardation are "functionally children" and therefore do not have, as Mr. McClain put it, "the same moral culpability (responsibility) of someone who is smart and kills"?
