I have a situation I have not faced in many, many, years. Working in a new state I have been confronted with a group of people living in high rise condo's who have banned together to oppose our agency's placement of several people with developmental disabilities in several of the condo's we own. I have just received a letter from this group asking us to remove the people we serve.... saying things like "it is unfair to us, our property values are diminished, our quiet and serene lifestyle has been intruded upon, etc... you can imagine the rest. Does anyone have any words of wisdom I should include in my response to them?
