Amen! Our churches,(regardless of denomination), should be taking the lead on this issue. Historically, change has occurred only through the grass roots efforts of a few committed people while the leadership is dragged along kicking and screaming. A great many institutions are so set in their ways that change is very difficult. To get motivated, read Timothy Estes fine book on the subject, "A Humanizing Ministry" c. 1982.
