Posted by Jay I am a GS-1862 FDA Imports inspector. I am attempting to convert to the 0696 Investigator; however on my district all 6 who were converted are female, none male. I can't get HR to commit to a written assessment of my existing qualifications. My only option is an EEO suit based on my 10 point disabled veteran status or the obvious sex discrimination. Instead of suing, I thought I could see if the agency can bump the journeyman level from 11 to a 12 so I will get the same pay as the other 7 Investigators (all of whom make 75 to 93 thousand a year doing the same job for which I get only 45 thousand) in my office. Anyone hear of a Federal GS-1862-12? Thanks, J
