john,d did a lot of half bro and sis breeding, but no closer. i have done a little closer before and it worked fine(pit).pure jdj dogs are all inbred, face it they all came from one mans yard. and in the last 20 to 30 years the only new blood on his yard was something he bred and sold.except for dogs other people bred out of dogs that came frome him to start with. i stick with one main bloodline that he bred...rebel rouser, bet that did not surprise anybody and then add dogs from another line...say bruiser and sometimes or a lot of times the new blood has some rebel blood in it.the rebel blood i have now is mostly reb 2 blood so now would be good to put some chief blood to it. i have got some chief blood a couple of times,it just did not work out. had a chief and collette 25 male but 2 dogs tore through the wire(male and female) he had a stroke or something before i got home. would like to find a good peelers chief blood male to breed to. have sevral good females to breed to one, just no money have to pup back deal. might do a 1/2 bro and sis breeding soon, have 2 sarge dogs out of differant females with a lot of old blood close in the ped. both females go back to jacksons buck and suger doll 53,to differant daughters of j buck and 53. one bred to a gidion/millie male and the other to dick 55. so i am putting the same blood back in there but from differant dogs,so should hit back to the same genes but without getting to tight.this way i am hoping to refresh the genes i want the most...and lessen the chance of the ones i dont want. the rebel blood throws wide rears with good hips, but you have try to keep good elbows.check out pics of reb2 and peelers chief and you cant forget rebelette, her elbows were out some but she is still to this day the biggest female ab i have ever seen period. her and s.tuffie 50 were penned next to each other at john,ds once when i went down there.loved s tuffie 50 and she had to be over 120lbs but rebelette was a lot bigger and she was not fat at all.i had first pick male out of rebelette and big buck bit the breeding could not take place.that is when i got on reb28 and millie. there are a lot of people that are on here that have some great blood that are putting them togather and making some great breedings and are turning out dogs i would like to have some of,but money time energy and space keep me from getting them. it easy to get to many dogs, but you have to set limits. having 50 qaulity dogs makes a great breeding program ,but to much for one person(maybe 2) and very expensive.

: First off let me say I am not trying to start a bash someone thread. In that being
: said I have only been in the breed about 5 yrs and only breeding about 1/2 that
: time. I for my own personally knowledge would like to know everyone's view on JDJ
: breeding practices. This and that has been said and I would really like to know the
: truth. I haven't been around long enough to know it but I have been around in this
: world long enough to know when something should have proof. I am really trying to
: learn about the breed and before I make my mind up I would like to know all the
: facts. I came to this board for the answer because I think my best chances of
: getting are here. Thanks in advance.
