First of all i like to say that i have not been in the breed longer than you have.
The way i do it and would recomend a new breeder to do it based upon my own knowlage is:
#1Buy a good book about dog breeding, it should cover everything from inbreeding to basic genetics.
#2get a coi program and calculate your breedings, higher coi = higher risk, it could be done but you need experience. To much inbreeding is verry harm full and degenerating to a breed.
#3only use pen hipped stock, i think the"140%rule" (yes i made it up myself
),meaning you don't breed dogs who's combined PH% is greater than 140,is a good rule. For ex.90%+50%, 80%+60%, 70%+70%and so on..
#4find out your dogs weaknesses and try to breed it to a dog thats strong where your dog is weak.
#5To breed dogs successfully you need to have a critical eye and be able to judge your own dogs
#6theres no such thing as a perfect dog, all we can do is use our best knowledge to try make it better!!
Hope this helps, good luck!!
